BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT

Please note we are not offering private breastfeeding support services currently due the COVID-19 pandemic.

BirthWorx offers breastfeeding support in the comfort of your own home with Registered Midwives who specialize in lactation. We believe that every new parent should have access to breastfeeding support early on in their journey to both prevent and address any concerns. We are available 7 days a week and aim to see you within 24-48 hours for urgent situations. We offer different and complementary services to traditional lactation consultants. As primary health care providers, Registered Midwives are able to provide full medical assessments, procedures to release tongue ties and prescriptions related to breastfeeding without you needing to see a physician separately!

We offer the following referral pathways:

If you are a parent needing support please contact us below to fill out our intake form and book a visit. Our services are open to all families regardless of care provider.

If you are a lactation consultant with a client who needs an assessment for frenotomy and/or lactation related prescription please see below for a link to send us a referral.

Please note: our services are not currently covered by Alberta Health Services, however many families who have extended benefits can get full or partial reimbursement through their health spending account.

We are always willing to arrange payment plans for families who have financial concerns. Please feel free to contact us directly.
